Moulin

💎Hidden Gem🥐Baked Goods

Worth the trip?

Absolutely.

Yes for bread people. Everyone else should still stop if they're downtown.

Our Take

Hidden down a downtown Napa alley, Moulin is the kind of bakery that rewards people who care way too much about bread—in the best possible way. Naturally leavened sourdough, serious viennoiserie and thoughtful coffee make it one of Napa's strongest starts to the day.

Organic whole grains are milled in-house on a traditional stone mill, giving Moulin actual bread credentials rather than just a photogenic bakery case.

Arrive early

OUR RANK

#6 in Brunch Mode.

The Move

What we'd actually do.

Arrive early. Pick the croissant or chausson that looks impossible to leave behind, grab a coffee and add a loaf for later. They sell out, so sleeping in has consequences.

What to get: Croissant; chausson; mill loaf; espresso.

Why We Rank It

#6Brunch Mode

It's a genuinely obsessive artisan bakery hiding in plain sight downtown.

We'd Send You Here If...

You don't need a production

You want somewhere useful, enjoyable and easy to work into the rest of the day.

Maybe Skip It If...

It doesn't fit the day you're building.

A great Napa recommendation is still the wrong recommendation when its pace, location or experience doesn't match what you actually want.
